Please make a note of the training opportunities and upcoming COE deadlines several are approaching very quickly. Your chapter’s business plan is due to President-Elect, Tina Wiggins, CAP-OM, tinaswiggins@yahoo.com, on April 30.  Included in this newsletter is a listing of all COE deadlines and which division officer is responsible for tracking the fulfillment of the requirement.

Inter-City Council (ICC) of Houston Area IAAP APW Kick-Off Breakfast- Registration Now Open
. The Galveston County Chapter is hosting the ICC APW Breakfast on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. Come join us in “Making the Leap to Remarkable”. The APW Kick-off Breakfast will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn - 50 W. Texas Avenue, Webster, Texas, 77598. Registration cost for IAAP Members is $35 and $40 for non-members. Please sign up today on our chapter website where you can pay with credit card via PayPal or, fill out the registration and send along with check to the address provided on the form. Either way, we guarantee you will be "Making the Leap to Remarkable" if you attend. We look forward to seeing each of you there!

The Magnolia Chapter will host its Annual Dutch Treat Community Luncheon on Monday, April 23, 2012, from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Reeves Uptown Catering located at 1639 Ryan St. in Lake Charles, La. This will be the 17th year for this celebration. There will be a vendor exposition from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Entertainment will be provided and door prizes will be given away. The cost is $25 per person. NOLA Chapter invites one and all to its APW dinner event, Tuesday, April 24 beginning at 6 p.m. The event will take place at The American Sector Restaurant. Topic is “What did you Say? B-CS Chapter is hosting their annual APD conference on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the College Station Conference Center in College Station, Texas. The theme for this year's conference is "Communicating in Today's World". The cost is $65 for B-CS Chapter members and $75 for non-members. Registration deadline: April 13, 2012. Update on Houston Area Certification Study Group. Because all members of the study group are testing in November, they decided to postpone the meetings until August. North Tarrant Bluebonnet Chapter is proud to offer its highly successful Technology Workshop on PowerPoint 2010 with instructor Teresa Dickinson at TCC Northwest Campus on May 5. Greenspoint Area Chapter will sell Business Meeting Outlines for the Texas-Louisiana Division Annual Meeting. An order form will be sent to all chapter presidents via email and hard copies will be available at the meeting.  The cost is $10 per copy. The chapter also plans to sell raffle tickets to win a Chocolate Cargo Bag.  Tickets will cost $2.00 each or ten tickets for $5.00.  Come see them in the Hospitality area.
